Jennifer C. Pierre, MPH (Manjinder Kaur)
917.412.7273, consciousheartnmind@gmail.com
Manjinder Kaur: Princess/Lioness of God who focuses her heart and mind in divine consciousness. Involved in dance for most of her life, Jennifer has always been drawn to movement. She is also very passionate about health. Initially a pre-med student at Cornell University, she decided that allopathic medicine was not her path, as she wanted to approach health from a more holistic standpoint. Upon graduation, Jennifer attended SUNY Albany School of Public Health where she completed her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in Behavioral Sciences. It was there that she became enamored with health promotion and preventive care. Jennifer has worked in many areas of health including Prenatal, Geriatrics, Nutrition, Health Research and Mental Health, in contrast to stints as an Event Coordinator and model.
For several years, Jennifer practiced various styles of yoga, but it wasn’t until Jan 3, 2009 (her birthday) that she discovered Kundalini. “I didn’t even know I was looking for it! I was drawn to the meditative aspect of it. Kundalini assisted me when I was going thru a most difficult transitional period of my life. I’ll forever be grateful.” Inspired by the beautiful souls who taught the practice of Kundalini at Divine Yoga, Jennifer decided to complete the Kundalini Yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India under the tutelage of Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa & Tej Kaur Khalsa of Golden Bridge LA, that very same year. Soon thereafter, she completed the Conscious Pregnancy training in Espanola, New Mexico under the direction of Tarn Taran Kaur Khalsa. “I have come full circle working with pregnant women again!” Jennifer teaches at Divine Yoga and is also available to instruct in-home private classes. Jennifer plans to pursue a career in Naturopathic Medicine and open a wellness/healing center in a place where the sun is always shining!
