Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts...
Donate your day!
The Samaritan's Purse organization has restored over 150 homes in Island Park. They have extended their originally proposed commitment to help restore homes in this community from 6 months to one year. There is plenty of work to be done and volunteers are welcome to GIVE their time.
Another way you may be able to help is to offer assistance in anyway you can to GIVE exposure to the efforts in progress. If you have any contacts in media, there are so many amazing stories worth reporting. Volunteers have been coming from all over the world... Hawaii and Japan!
This is a perfect opportunity to practice compassion... to put yourself in someone else's shoes. A time to be mindful about how mother nature does not discriminate... these circumstances can happen to anyone.
